It was wonderful.
They sell gently used clothing for great prices.
I left with a cute dress for only $15. I would have paid $60 for it at Nordstrom.
My favorite moment happened when the girl working the cashier asked me, "Do you need a bag?"
I told her how refreshing that was for me to hear, because I am so used to telling people that I don’t need a bag after they’ve already stuffed my items in there.
And guess what they do when you tell them that you don’t need a bag?! They give you a wooden token that is worth 5 cents. As you are leaving the store you can decide which organization to donate that wooden nickel to. I chose the Environmental Defense Fund. You could also choose to donate to the Pasadena Humane Society. A great organization as well.
How great is that though? Instead of giving you a 5 cent discount on your purchase you can pay it forward and donate to a greater cause.
I just love great companies like Crossroads Trading! Seeing companies like them give me hope.
Check it out next time you are in need of a new piece of clothing. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the clothing there.
